People who haven't wanted to play the dragonflight expansion are going to log in and wonder how to start the new quests and then get upset when they have to finish the dragonflight story line.

- It does seem rather strange that they would make that a requirement. Finishing the final chapter of DF isn’t a requirement for the Harbinger quests so why is it for those? Unless it’s account wide?

- It should be as Warband is coming, and the DF campaign is probably flagged as Warband quests so its account-wide.

But, this is a silly requirement in any way! Also happened in DF patches as well. For new players being away for a year or two gotta do the last expansion to experience the next expansions pre-patch? Stupid af.

- See AlsoAnatomy Drawing LessonsBlizzard clarified that finishing the Harbinger quest line is all that is needed. And that only takes like 20 minutes so it's not that bad.

- patch day is usually filled with bugs anyway. that's why the event doesn't start today I would bet

Portions of that announcement trailer had me wondering if I had clicked an Avatar video by mistake. Didn't feel very Warcraft, and the conflicting artistic visions doesn't help. (Edit: And neither does the thumbnail because yikes.)
And that's assuming there aren't any kinks in the process, either. I know some folks who are electing to wait later in the week before attempting the conversion in the hopes of avoiding some of the patch day mess.Originally Posted by Unforgivenn

- Visions of Azeroth is not the same as the Radiant Echoes world event. The world event is available to players of all levels and can be used to level alts. Visions of Azeroth is the prologue that follows the Harbinger questline from 10.2.7.

- We have this for a long time, no reset needed for expansion launch.

He is referring to the extended server maintenance. Which is usual on big patchs days tbh, especially the pre expansion patxh with a lot of things changing, especially the warbands thing
