Based on data from Immigration Deputy Spokesperson Melvin Mabulac, 55 officers are manning the counters at all Naia terminals to expedite the passengers’ immigration process.
Earlier, MIAA head executive assistant Manuel Jeffrey David said they expect around 550,000 travelers to flock to the country’s main gateway until Holy Wednesday (April 16).
To ensure the convenience of travelers, David said that the New Naia Infrastructure Corporation implemented shortened roadway closures to accommodate more flights.
Mabulac, on the other hand, said 48 immigration officers are on standby for peak hours—3:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. — to help accommodate the influx of passengers.
